I've been going backwards and forwards on flocking my entire journal, and I can't make up my mind. I've just been potentially offered another job, the one I interviewed for on Monday, the high-powered and intimidating one that I couldn't name. I actually came out of that interview feeling a bit dubious - I didn't feel that I'd done particularly well and I felt I fluffed some of the questions. I GOT THE JOB IN NORTHAMPTON! I GOT THE JOB!

I only had the interview at the college this morning! Hell, I only got home from the interview about three quarters of an hour ago, and they just called to offer me the job. They want me to start in a month.

I'm moving to Northampton! YAY!

It has only just occured to me that what with me being out at a uni reunion on Saturday night, staying in a hotel on Sunday night prior to an interview Monday morning, staying at my aunt and uncle's on Monday and Tuesday nights prior to an interview on Wednesday morning, I will not be able to watch Doctor Who until Wednesday evening. Whoo! I was beginning to think no-one was remotely interested in me. But I have an interview on June 9th, somewhere majorly high-powered and intimidating that I can't actually talk about. Eek!

Got a rejection letter from a library in Cambridge that I'd applied to. I would have really liked that job, plus Cambridge is close to my brother, so that would have been an added bonus.

*sighs*

Back to the drawing board. Gah. I hate job-hunting, I really do. It's specifically designed to crush your spirit and break your soul.

I guess there could be a reason, but I'm starting to resign myself to the fact that I've probably not got it. *shrugs* Not the end of the world, I guess, but I can't deny I'm disappointed. I would have liked that job ( Read more... )

So as you can imagine, every time the phone rings I'm leaping out of my chair with my heart pounding like crazy.

I'll be glad when today's over and I know one way or the other, whether it's good or bad. I just want to know now.

It's hard to tell, of course. But it seemed to go well, it felt much more like a real conversation than a formal interview, and I found both the interviewers friendly and easy to talk to.
